FAQs
How often should I have my windows cleaned?
Our general recommendation is a three-time annual cleaning plan. Spring: A full interior and exterior cleaning, along with washing and reinstalling the screens. Mid-Summer: An exterior-only cleaning to keep your windows looking fresh through the season. Winter: Another full interior and exterior cleaning, during which we also remove and store your screens to protect them through the colder months. For homes near the ocean or in areas with heavy tree coverage, we recommend quarterly cleanings to stay ahead of salt, pollen, and debris buildup. Dove Window Cleaning serves many clients who host frequent gatherings and events — for them, more frequent service helps maintain a spotless, guest-ready appearance year-round.
How much does window cleaning cost?
The cost depends on the type and style of windows in your home. It all comes down to the time and labor required to get the job done right. For example, an Andersen window without interior grilles can typically be cleaned inside and out in just a few minutes. On the other hand, a Marvin true divided lite window — with multiple small panes, such as 6-over-6 — can take significantly longer, sometimes up to 20 minutes per window. Every home is different, which is why we’re happy to provide a free, no-obligation estimate. We’ll come by, assess your windows, and give you a clear, honest quote before we begin.
What is Pure Water Technology?
Pure water technology is used for exterior window cleaning and offers a powerful, spot-free clean — without the need for harsh chemicals. Here’s how it works: We start with regular tap water from your outdoor spigot, which naturally contains minerals and impurities. That water is then run through a resin filter removing 98% of those impurities. The result is ultra-purified water that leaves no streaks or spots behind. You may have noticed white spots after spraying your windows with a garden hose — those marks are left by minerals in untreated water. With pure water, your windows and frames are left sparkling clean, with no residue at all. This method is especially effective for true divided lite windows, as it reduces the time and effort needed to clean each individual pane — making it both efficient and beautifully effective.
